Youtube Debate revealing.
As I watched the liberal pundits carrying on about how wonderful the ?Youtube Debate? was, I was nauseated. The whole thing was misnamed really. It should have been called the ?Youclueless Debate.?
Truly the whole thing was an indictment of our public education system. These glittering jewels of ignorance, we are told, are the ?ideal? civic-minded citizens that this country needs. This is what is churned out of our schools. People who clearly have no idea where we came from or much of our history. I suspect if asked basic questions of American history
they would be easily stumped. The bulk probably could not name the Presidents in their lifetime. I am sorry but if these video questions and those posing them were supposed to be representative of the political thinking and the ideal civic-minded American citizen, well then the Republic is in greater danger from within than I previously thought.
When I think of the Presidency, I think of some of the great men to have occupied this high office. Can you imagine George Washington remaining on that stage and taking a question from a video ?snowman? berating him about ?global warming?? How about Abraham Lincoln? I think not. If these august souls wanted to show themselves, to be serious candidates worthy of the Presidency, then the serious person should have Walked off the stage by this point, loudly stating they will not take part in such a farce. Instead theses peons of the proletariat party began answering the idiotic questions and started vying for the coveted position of frontrunner of their party. The questions and answers reminded me of a performance worthy only of
David Letterman?s ?Stupid Pet Tricks?. On cue they salivated to the issues their fellow liberals expect them get excited about.
The debate was however instructive. Many of them made a number of things very clear. None are ready for primetime. Here are my thoughts on the Democrat field as it stands.
Barack Hussein Obama continues to demonstrate he is a media sensation and nothing more. The freshman Senator from Illinois lacks experience and judgment. His answer that he would sit down with despots and tyrants was as bad as his answer in a previous debate, that if we were hit again by
terrorists that he would make sure the first responders got out to help people. You know a serious contender would know you don?t need to micromanage
the situation. The first responders won?t be waiting for the White House to call and say get out there?Job #1 is secure the nation---but Barack would be down at the firehouse. It is not PC to say this, but nothing about me has ever been PC, so I shall dive right in with my blunt observations. Barack Hussein Obama is an empty suit. His candidacy is based on his being an attractive, black man and nothing deeper than that. He is as superficial as the ?Obama Girls? video. He is one of the libido candidates for the left in this
race. The other libido candidate is the other empty suit, John Edwards.
Known in some circles as the ?Breck Girl?, Mr. Edwards has first-class hair and a second-class mind. Oh sure, he made his millions playing on the emotions of juries, but that is not really all that hard. It does say much about his honesty and scruples, but damn little for his intelligence. He does have great hair, but it hardly qualifies him for the highest office in the land.
Joe Biden, now here is a man with experience. He has run in (and lost) more Presidential elections than anyone else up there. Joe is known for his smirk and plagiarizing the work of British Labor leader Neal Kinnock. He is also notable for his undying devotion to trying to ban private firearm ownership in the United States. Really now Joe, what part of ?Shall not be infringed? in the Second Amendment, do we not understand? He has been running for President since the 1980s and I suspect will be running for President again in the future, as he will not win in ?08.
Dennis Kucinich is the other ?Mistake by the Lake.? It is truly embarrassing as a Buckeye to have him going about saying he is from Ohio. I always point out that he is from Cleveland, and I don?t really blame the folks from Cleveland for wanting to send Dennis as far away as possible. But the attention he gets is truly embarrassing to Ohio, so I hope the folks from
Cleveland will do the responsible thing and just find something else for Dennis to do where he will not draw ridicule to our state.
Bill Richardson is perhaps the most conservative of the Democrat candidates. This is not saying much as Leon Trotsky looks pretty conservative in this crowd. Bill should go back to being Governor of New Mexico and forget his pipedream of getting into the White House. He, like the rest, is not Presidential material.
This leads us to the Front Runner. Hillary Rodham Clinton--or whatever name she is using these days. Hillary has already been Co-President, and a
Horrible one at that. In 1992 Bill told us we were getting two for the price of one. Frankly we would be getting that again (A thought that gives me nightmares). We truly were lucky to have survived the incompetence of
these two, the first time around. Had the Soviet Union not imploded or China been stronger, there no doubt would have been war. Communists like to take advantage of weakness, luckily thanks to Ronald Reagan?s gift of
the Soviet collapse, we were more secure.
However the Clinton weakness did lead to the various terrorist attacks that culminated with the dramatic attacks of September 11th. Had Bill Clinton stepped up to the plate and either taken bin Laden into custody on any
of the occasions he was offered to us or just killed him, the attacks probably would not have happened. But the head of the snake was left in place and as a result it struck at us savagely.
Along with the security concerns they left us I for one remember the many scandals too well. Travelgate, the Vince Foster Suicide, White Water, Rose Law Firm, the rape allegations from Juanita Broderick and the
sexual harassment of Kathleen Willey. We all remember the sexual harassment lawsuit of Paula Jones and how that led to the revelations about Monica Lewinsky and of course Bill Clinton?s perjury. But the sex scandals were hardly the tip of the iceberg. Have we forgotten the bribes from China via the Riyadi?s or Johnny Chung. Or how China, who was a decade behind us in nuclear weapons development, suddenly was able to reach the US with an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile all because of technology gleaned from their dealings with Hughes and Loral Aerospace (transfers of technology
made possible by Clinton pal Bernie Schwartz). Finally, the mysterious death of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown?I can go on and on. There was some new chicanery every week it seemed. I ask you, my friends, do we really want to relive this? Can we afford the danger of reliving this?
I often hear leftists call George W Bush and those on my side of the political spectrum a Nazi.  However, the only Nazi like behavior I have ever seen in the US came from Bill Clinton.  How can we forget when Clinton and Janet Reno had 90-plus American men, women and children gassed and burned to death in Waco, Texas in 1993. All in the vain and glorious attempt by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) to enforce a gun control law. Never before had such an incident happened in the US, and I pray it never happens again. Other than the fact the economy was good for much of the Clinton years, nothing explains his popularity or the nostalgia for the Clintons. In fact, the economy was not really something he could legitimately claim. It was great in spite of him not because of him. The boom was Bill Gates, not Bill Clinton. However the partisan left media has repeated the lie over and over again that it was the Clinton magic responsible
for that golden age, that second American Camelot. Well if it was golden, it was fools? gold.
In watching all of the Democrats on that stage, one point that was reinforced in my mind is this: They are all the enemy of our civil liberties. If you
listened carefully you would pick this up.  All are very eager to take constitutionally protected rights from all of us. Gun rights would be assailed. Free speech would be restricted via the promotion of ?politically correct speech codes? and, of course, the ?Fairness Doctrine.? There is nothing fair about the fairness doctrine. It would silence conservative voices like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, etc--but not touch the liberal dominated television talking heads or print media.  It amuses me how these
petty ?Stalinists? would couch restricting free expression as ?fairness?. They can?t compete in the exchange of free ideas and win. The facts, logic and
common sense are on the right so their solution is to kill it.  What is frightening is how many people buy this pabulum.
Private property would be in jeopardy. Hillary has already told us she intends to take from some to give to others. She is promoting higher taxes to pay for socialized medicine. She also wants to expand various entitlements for the poor. In other words she and those like her wish to punish achievement. ?It is not fair that you make more money than this chap, so we
are just going to take it from you to give to him.? It used to be we were rewarded for reaching for the Stars, now we get a kick to the groin for being so ambitious.
I hope my fellow Americans were paying attention on Feb. 2 when Hillary Clinton commented on Exxon oil Profits: "I want to take those profits and put them into an alternative energy fund."
Stop a minute and think. Isn't it frightening that this woman thinks she has the power or should have the power to confiscate profit from anyone? What empowers her to confiscate wealth from anyone to pay for her pet projects? Not the U.S. Constitution. Where will she stop? I want to thank her for exposing herself yet again for what she is. A big government control socialist. The USA used to be a free, capitalist country, but not in Hillary's mind, or the many Democrats judging the applause she gets from the
audiences after she says things like the above.
Sadly the entire Democrat field is the same. They call themselves ?progressive? but as former progressive David Horowitz has pointed out, a progressive is just a communist who knows saying ?I am a communist? is not going to get them anywhere.
Scary times we live in, friends, when people like this can take the Presidency. I hope you all remember that in 2008 when it comes time to vote. Do the right thing and register to vote now so you can help stop the
liberal juggernaut threatening all of our freedoms.
